Please give me a
brief teaser of the book!
Casey Dalton; young, beautiful
and an introvert, shifts to Chicago with her Dad. Her life was calm, reserved
and anti-social until she accidently bumps into Jason Ellwood on the very first
day of her new school. He was fascinating, gorgeous and a Casanova as people
say, charms her into his Love spell, despite having a very hot girlfriend!
While she tried to solve the mysterious puzzle of Love, she meets Eric Simpson;
innocent, cute and a warm soul, who falls in Love with her, the way she’d
fallen for Jason. Her life changed completely with, her heart wrapped around
Jason’s little finger, will he protect it or will he crush it into pieces, for
today, he loves her like he invented it and tomorrow he would forget her like
an old poetry. Will she ever find out what feelings his heart hold for her? Can
a Casanova fall in love too? Is Eric her Mr. Right? Who will she choose her
heart or her mind?
Can you remember the day,
the moment you got to know that your book will be published?
It was 22nd of September, 2014. It was just like any
other normal day but life is full of surprises. Since a lot of people write
books here, in India the entire process is very slow. I'd written a few books
and Hopeless Romantic wasn't technically my debut novel. So, some of my work
was accepted but the publishers were showing no sign of progress. And then on
22nd September, 2014, I was checking my mails like usual when my publishers
mailed me. So, for a while I couldn't believe, it was like a dream coming true.
My family and friends were happy too, for they've seen me struggling and
breaking down.
Where do you think
you inherited your writer vein from? Did you have relatives who were or who are
writers in your family, or among your relatives or ancestors?
No, maybe pain. I started writing around when I lost my
father.Maybe it's a farewell gift from him to me…
Oh, my god! Did his
loss influence your writing in any way? Has it left any signficant traces on
your writing?
I prefer writing happy endings. Since I feel, people who
spend their time reading books are usually trying to get over or forget
something. I want my work to inspire them in a way or at least leave a smile on
their face.
If you have already
mentioned inspiration, I have to ask: where do you gain your inspiration from?
I let it come to me, it just clicks in my mind. I just
consider myself a medium to share these stories through my words. I think it's
more like writing is the one that chose me and not vice versa.
Can you tell me about
your writing process? How the story flows in your mind?
I break the process like a
recipe. Starting with the main twist in the plot, it's more like deciding what
you'd like to cook, and then revolve the story all the way around. My
ingredients include designing unique characters and I try to write every day but
as I said, I let it come to me so it depends upon my mood swings a bit.
Do you have any special writing habits or superstitions?
I do not believe in
superstitions, I think what's meant to happen will happen what come may.
